Product description
The starter clutch assembly (bendix) consists of a one-way clutch with a pinion and a spring. The role of the bendix is to connect the starter with the combustion engine, via a toothed flywheel, so that the starter can rotate the engine crankshaft. When the combustion engine starts working independently, the bendix prevents the transfer of drive from the engine to the starter, which could damage the starter.
